About Me

2017-2021

I attended the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating with a BA in Journalism and Sports Media.

There, I found a passion for advocating for women in sports through my writing.

While pursuing my degree, I continued to gain work experience through internships, freelancing, and part-time work.

You can view a few examples of my experience below.

I spent three years writing for the CU Boulder chapter of Her Campus, a digital lifestyle magazine written by college women for college women. In 2020, I was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, where I managed an executive board and a team of 64 writers.

From 2019-2020, I was the beat reporter for the CU Boulder D1 Men’s Hockey team, writing game recaps and profile stories for the CU Independent newspaper.

During the summer of 2020, I helped jumpstart the first women’s sports magazine in Ireland as part of a three-month internship.

For the next year, I took up an independent study to help curate a business plan for the media start-up.

From 2019-2021, I worked part-time as a social media and newsletter coordinator for a local CrossFit gym in Boulder, Colorado.

2021-Present

Upon graduation, I was hired by CrossFit, LLC, as a full-time copyeditor and email manager, where I edited articles, graphics, and videos, created and sent “Workout of the Day” emails to over 500k subscribers daily, and designed an email campaign for the CrossFit Games season to drive ticket sales, viewership, and more.

After six months, I was promoted to the lead sports writer of the CrossFit Games, where I began reporting on the Sport of Fitness through sport reports, feature stories, and on-camera storytelling for social media, reaching over 14 million followers across all channels.

While reporting on the CrossFit Games season, I am also responsible for updating all copy, CTAs, and sponsors on Games.CrossFit.com.

During the off-season, I write health and fitness articles for CrossFit.com.
